In the Stillness between Stars
Spirit of Life,
Breath
of the cosmos,
In
the silence between one heartbeat and the next,
In
the stillness between stars,
We
come to rest in this moment.
Here,
may we hear the soft ache of longing,
The
quiet thread of joy,
The
grief we barely speak aloud.
Here,
may we remember who we are,
Dreamers
shaped by dust and light,
Pilgrims
walking the wide arc of becoming.
In
this sacred stillness,
We
honour the unspoken prayers:
For
healing, for clarity, for courage.
For
the ones we carry in our hearts,
Those
we’ve lost,
Those
we’re still learning how to love,
Those
we miss with every rising sun.
We
give thanks for laughter that returns unexpectedly,
For
beauty that startles us into gratitude,
And
for the presence of others who walk beside us,
Even
when the road is uncertain.
We
pause for the world,
So
full of brilliance and burden.
We
hold in the light all who are suffering,
In
body, mind, spirit, or circumstance.
And
we pray for wisdom:
To
see clearly, to act justly, to love boldly.
May
we never forget that to be alive is a gift,
And
to dream, a holy act.
In
the name of all that is sacred,
Within
us, around us, and beyond us,
we
offer this prayer.
Amen.
