Mays Blessing

In May’s bright cradle, the garden plays,
Giggles bloom where the daisies sway.
Tiny hands, muddy feet,
Racing down the sunlit peat.

My dog leaps high, catching dreams,
We tumble under emerald beams.
With each laugh a flower’s born,
In the playground of the morn.

Mother sleeps, a smile so light,
In her chair, out of sight.
While we dance the dance of spry,
Underneath the vast, blue sky.

Promises flutter like butterfly wings,
Sweet beginnings, the robin sings.
May whispers secrets in our ears,
Of summer’s kiss, fast nearing near.

Every petal, every leaf,
Carries joy, sheds the grief.
For in this month of lively hue,
The world’s awake, feeling new.

The gateway swings, the breezes hum,
To the song of seasons yet to come.
Here in May, the earth’s young laughter,

Fills my heart, forever after.
