Upon a Cliff's Edge
There, upon a cliff's edge, I beheld—a solitary bird, its
flight a testament to freedom.
Do you see?
As the drums whispered into being,
Their beat—a heart awakened—
I whispered to the wind, my love, oh my love, and cherished
thee.
My song rose, heart brimming, in your presence, enveloped.
And though I speak of lands unknown,
A realm afar where dreams may roam—
You and I, entwined in its embrace, shall make our stay.
This land beckons; there, I vow to remain.
"Oh, cherish me, let love be our compass," I
implored,
Not questioning your constancy—for you encompass my world
entire.
Let not sighs nor tears prevail.
Then, the drumbeat surged, a tempest of joy and sorrow
mingled,
A call to the soul, stirring laughter and lightness,
As I danced, soaring skyward and returning, earthbound once
more.
The moon, our silent confidant, offered a toast to the
night,
And with a sip, I embraced the cosmos.
