A Prayer for the Librarian in Search of Authenticity
In this sacred space, where knowledge is bound and wisdom is shared,
We gather in the presence of all that is seen and unseen,
Mindful of the stories we tell and the roles we assume.
For the librarian, keeper of stories and seeker of order,
Who is ensnared by the illusion of perfection,
May he find the freedom to embrace his own unique story.
May he recognize that the quiet between the pages,
The pristine nature of the shelves, the sternness of his
attire,
Are but chapters in the grander tale of his soul's journey.
O Universal Spirit, remind him that while knowledge is
power,
True wisdom comes from the depths of a vulnerable heart.
In a world where he seeks to categorize and label,
May he find the strength to defy classification.
Let the whispers of pages turning and the echoes of silent
corridors,
Serve as a reminder that beneath the surface of conformity,
Lies a realm of boundless diversity and indescribable
beauty.
May the questions that arise in his heart lead him towards
authenticity:
Who am I when the labels fade?
What truths do I chase, and which do I evade?
In the stillness of the library, what voice do I hear,
That urges me to shed the masks I hold dear?
Guide him, O Infinite One, to understand that perfection is
but a fleeting goal,
And that the true quest lies in the unraveling of his
authentic soul.
In this temple of knowledge, where stories intertwine,
May he find the courage to live his truth, unconfined.
Blessed be the journey, the questions, the doubts,
For in their midst, the authentic self sprouts.
Amen.
