Unitarianism
In
the sacred heart of separation,
There
echoes a lucky message, a reverberation.
Childhood
memories journey, timorous and small,
In
the paddy fields of laughter, we recall.
Dreams,
once vibrant, have gone astray,
Heroes'
faces fading in the light of day.
Awakening
grief, drear loss, envelopes the land,
Only
sadness softly whispers, strength in hand.
Learning
heart endurance, a lesson hard and true,
Turn
again, let feet spring agilely, as if on cue.
Palms
extended, reaching for beloved guides,
In
the middle garden, where tranquillity abides.
Beneath
the barrow, the mighty oak does stand,
Charmed
light colours unfurl, a sight so grand.
Blossoms
fiercely beautiful in their silent show,
Pre-empt
joy, teaching wise responsibility we must know.
Spellbound,
remain, amidst the throng,
One
alone in nature, where we belong.
Heartfelt
gratitude, a secret shared with the grand,
The
intermediary of the universe, in our hand.
Errant
derision, banished from our sight,
Drink
deep of wine, feel the cosy electricity of light.
Water,
the essence of life, and spirits breath,
Teach
us to be gentle, kind, in life and death.
Resilience
weaves a thread through our being,
Love:
the healing heart remedy, all-seeing.
Draw
me closer to this universal truth,
Destiny
whispers of a deeper Union, in sooth.
No
shortcuts can trace this transformation wide,
Veil
of transcendence, in which we confide.
Moon,
star, universe, divine centre aglow,
Within
each of us, a divine self we know.
In
Unitarianism, this truth we ascertain,
Every
path is different, yet destination the same.
In
the vast, cosmic dance, we play our part,
Bound by a universal song, beating in our heart.
