Leaf On The Wind

And a blast from the east releases its summer grip, 

its tenure was in the sun and it marveled life with all her friends,

they laughed and sang in the springtime rains,

and danced in the startling summer storms...

Without warning, her friends turned their attention away from the heavens, 

the green vibrancy that relaxed the human soul, took to a fiery visage, 

as if angry with their new unwanted temperament,

a magical incantation is uttered and they begin their exile. 

But all is not what it seems... there are several who are unwilling, 

stubborn, who will not leave their holding place, staring to the heavens, 

the celestial body that energizes and sustains our delicate friends, sighs, 

O' without warning... we are a leaf on the wind.
