Intuition and Reason

 North and South? 

Poles apart.... 

It all adds up, it comes to an answer that is clear as day. 7 + 7 = 14 

It makes perfect sense.... there is no room for disagreement. 7 - 7 = 0

The tutor is bold and precise... and makes it look like magic. 7 * 7 = 49 

Some pupils hands are in the air knowing the answers. 7 / 7 = 1

Reason is our Salvation? Enlightenment to a better world? 

And yet the numbers don't add up, 

 are the stats confusing? 

   are the measures lining up? 

      are the algorithms working?

         are the numbers adding up?

Will the science, the logic, the maths, the Reason get it right 7 + 7 * 7 / 7 - 7 =  7
