Tired.

Standing firm with a smile,
Painting by Lorraine Rigby. 2016.
Holding onto every last drop of energy,
Your focus.......tilted.
                Your focus.........faded
                                  Your focus..........slipping
                                                              away from
                                                                   you..........

Words spilled from the voice of the eloquent ....
Your ears filled with the sound of the tumble dryer....
The stimulate brought with care....black as midnight on starless night and it's sweetness lighter than an angels kiss....
It brings me back.....for a moment
It spurs me on.........
Every handshake and every smile, is laced with sincerity and love.
Every connection tempered with wonder......

I fall softly into my sacred chamber....
The mini death is upon me...
The resurrection will raise my weary body...
But as I sleep....I will dream of the good that was done that day.

Goodnight.

what a beautiful post Lorraine. it so speaks to how much energy it takes some days - these days - to as much as smile to a stranger because of all the needless and countless "do's" we have gotten ourselves into. when i see your pictures, of your farm, of your weaving, of your little animals...i wonder...do you feel that way? the item you wove takes my breath away! the process, the colors, the texture. it takes me back in time to classes at school - a full time class in grade 9. i lived for that. how lovely you make time to do this. and eggplant? can it does it will it grow from a pot??? your post leaves me with so much to ponder.
