The Landscape before the Veil

My hand slipped into her hand,
held with fellowship and hope,
that her soul will be lifted with the wings of love,
and she will be united with eternity.

And the landscape of her life is filled with her history and it bows before her,
and the veil shall be lifted for her soul within a moment.
The spirit of life and the great mystery come close to each other...
and within a spark, a spark within a spark...

they touch...

and she enters into that great mystery, into eternity.
Perhaps her hand slips into Gods as she is taken,
taken from the landscape of her life... the life of every being.

And with a gentle kiss, I say a prayer for this divine journey,
as I stand in my landscape before the veil.
My hand slips from her hand,
and I turn to the spirit of life.

Prayer of Knowing

Let us bring ourselves to a stillness...

Allowing our heart and mind to find a quiet time...

It may be difficult to keep the voices in our minds still...

The quietness is overtaken with pain and the pain for others...

It is our purpose to seek the quiet centre of our being...

               focus on your breath...

allow each breath to be purposeful...

                       each breath to be holy...

As we rest beneath the sacred ground of our being...

With each breath, we become attuned to our whole self...

May we reach further and deep within our being...

The possibility of coming near...

To the cradle of our essence...

To the core of our nature…

Our being touching the divine…

Where words and language have no place…

Be at peace…

In this stillness may you be blessed with grace,

Knowing and understanding what is noble and good,

And acting accordingly.

Let the memories of others remember your kindness, your charity

your hospitality, your laughter, your fellowship, your presence of calmness.

And to those who bring kindness and charity to your door remember gratitude.

Amen

O Great Mystery

O Great Mystery
I rest before you and ponder the great magnificence of the earth, its peoples, and our creativity!
We are the instruments for love, compassion, and kindness,
We are the tools for profit, war, and destruction,

May our inner strivings be tempered with charity,
May we be held with patience before we bombard others,
May we trust others in their actions and decisions,
Rivers have patience, it does not hurry, the ocean awaits its joining.

O Great Mystery
I rest before you and ponder the great magnificence of the earth, its peoples, and our creativity!
We are the instruments for love, compassion, and kindness,
We are the tools for profit, war, and destruction,

May we be blessed with nurturing our inner child,
May we come to know our inner north star,
May we be ready to comfort those whose heart is broken in grief
The abundance of grief is proof of the enormity of love in our heart

O Great Mystery
I rest before you and ponder the great magnificence of the earth, its peoples, and our creativity!
We are the instruments for love, compassion, and kindness,
We are the tools for profit, war, and destruction,

May we deeply know when to protest and let our voices be heard,
May we blessed with courage and overcome injustice
May we conquer our world with Truth and
May Justice be Love, acknowledged to the world!

Hold on...

so many voices staying positive,
so many smiles and volunteers,
so many rainbows telling the world all is happy,
so many bodies being counted for our entertainment,
so many clapping hands, washing hands... washing hands.
so much rhetoric...
so much status!
so much... and so little...

I rest my head staring into a world of I,
A world resting with a gilded smile of compassion.
The work is getting done... and yet I feel weary.

Tilt your head.

I am weary...
I find the world's authority in contempt.

There is something insidious at work,
Yes...... we all know it.

But it has a twin. Not the opposite, but something similar...
perhaps not with the same strength... perhaps stronger?
It floats behind seeing the opportunities in its older brothers wake,
It doesn't need you to separate, it will be with us till our end.

This is the greatest threat, his younger brother, wanting to prove something.

And all we can do is hold on for the ride.
